Short answer
For a standard sedan, players report needing gas, an engine repair and a key, followed by the correct vehicle exit. A moving car is only part of the escape: an open road is not necessarily a valid exit.

Before you commit to the sedan
- Inspect the vehicle first.Read its interaction prompt. Tell teammates which requirement is missing so several people do not search for an item already supplied.
- Divide the search.Make a short team list: fuel, repair, key. Mark a requirement complete only after the vehicle accepts the interaction, not just when someone says they found the item.
- Plan the exit before driving.Check the current match map and any available objective cues. Keep a fallback route in mind if the approach is blocked or Michael is nearby.
- Regroup before departure.Agree who is using this route and who is still helping residents. Do not use this guide as a promise of a particular passenger capacity or achievement unlock.
The car moves, but I cannot escape

Where does the car spawn?
A Steam guide comment reports a car in front of 1495 on Orange Grove Estates. Treat that as one possible spawn, not a guaranteed location; the linked location guide includes the source.
Can I leave through any road?
The player report says a correct exit point is required. If driving does not complete the escape, check the exit before assuming that the vehicle is bugged.
What if the missing item never turns up?
Coordinate searches in different areas and reassess the route. Compare your available tools with the escape overview rather than committing everyone to one incomplete car.
